Vashti Katz

Vashti Katz has lived across Africa, Asia and Europe, but is now settled in North London where she works as a local historian and community organiser.

Vashti was a London Library Emerging Writer (2024-2025) and is developing essays and short fiction on the politics of aspiration, aging, inheritance, Jewish humour/guilt and the complex nature of community. The first of these have been recently published in the Manchester Review, Litro Magazine, and shortlisted for an Edinburgh Essay Award (results announced September 2026).
