Welcome to
The bks Agency is a Literary Management Agency based in London — founded in 2018 by three friends, Jason Bartholomew, Jessica Killingley and James Spackman, and joined in 2021 by Joanna Kaliszewska and by Morwenna Loughman in 2022.
After each of us spent over two decades working across the biggest publishing houses in London & New York City, we came together to carry on doing what we all love best: developing the careers of authors and helping their work achieve its full potential. We can offer our authors the collective experience of understanding the publishing industry from every possible angle. At the end of 2020, The bks Agency merged with Midas, the award-winning Books & Arts Communications agency, allowing us to support our authors even further in growing their impact.
We now collectively represent over 100 authors, having placed them with publishers all around the world. The agency offers a global reach for sales with decades of knowledge in selling rights across domestic, foreign, audio, film, television and other markets. Our projects span a wide range of fiction & non-fiction genres and our authors are Sunday Times bestsellers, Olympic athletes, gifted storytellers, international speakers, entrepreneurs, journalists, consultants, thought leaders and experts in their field.
And they all, like us, believe in the power that books have to change our lives.
The bks Agency is part of Midas Ltd and a member of the Association of Author’s Agents and endorses the principles of best practice in the Association’s Code of Practice.
