Hannah McCann is an artist from Tyrone, Northern Ireland now based in West Yorkshire, England. They are the winner of the First Graphic Novel Award 2025 with the work-in-progress St Brigid & Me.

Hannah is particularly interested in non-fiction comics, especially graphic memoir, historical comics, graphic medicine and comics journalism.

St Brigid & Me is a graphic novel exploring the figure St Brigid, and her connections with the abortion rights movement on the island of Ireland. It covers themes of religion, politics, and home, and the author’s relationship with all three.
